What is a Stellate Ganglion Block?
The Stellate Ganglion block is a highly succesful, and low risk single shot injection of local anesthesia. A skillfully trained specialist performs the procedure under ultrasound guidance. This anesthetic procedure targets the cervical sympathetic chain, allowing the body to reset parts of the nervous systems that may be compromised.

What does the procedure look like?
Your practitioner will have you lay on a stretcher with your head turned. Using ultrasound guidance, there will be a quick injection of a small amount of medication on the side of your neck.
How long will I be at the office?
Expect your visit to last 45min to 1hr. The actual procedure only takes 15 min, then you are monitored for 30 min post injection. You will need transportation home after the procedure.
When can I expect to see results?
Many patients see results immediately after the procedure. Others take a few hours to days to notice significant improvement. Overall success rates have been reported between 80-85% for smell and taste improvement.
Will insurance cover the procedure?
Discounts are available for the SGB for We The People Health and Wellness members. However, insurance is not accepted at this time.
